This is a preliminary UCB moment tensor solution for the event in
Nevada (36.81N 115.98W; Z=5km; Ml=4.7; NEIC) on January 27, 1999
at 10:44:23UTC. A Mw4.8 and depth of 8 km were obtained from long-
period waves recorded by GSC and KCC. The data during this time period
is noisy from surface waves from a teleseism located south of Panama and
could be affecting the moment tensor results.
Best Fitting Double-Couple:
Mo = 1.89E+23 Dyne-cm
Mw = 4.82
