Continued from Page 1 Foreshocks and aftershocks A brisk aftershock series has followed, producing at least 33 quakes during the first hour and a half. None have registered in the M 3.0 range yet. The aftershock sequence progressed rapidly and by the end of the 7 o'clock hour, 11 tremors had occurred, including a M 2.9 that happened two minutes after the main jolt. Activity remained elevated during the 8 o'clock hour, producing 22 events, including three in the M 2.0 range. The series slowed down considerably after 9:00 a.m., and only for quakes were recorded during the hour. Felt Reports Did you feel this quake? Where were you and what were you doing? Send us a note. Some people were jarred from sleep. Most said it was a brief jolt followed by a few shaking motions, and was over before they could do anything. People in restaurants stopped eating and drinking coffee, but the chatter returned nearly as quickly as it stopped. There has been no word from the Convict Lake Resort, the closest public facility tot he epicenter. The restaurant has excellent food, by the way, and you are encouraged to call for reservations. A few people said they didn't even feel the quake.
