The following is a REVISED solution for the April 20, 2002, event in New York. This CMT solution was determined by analysis of long-period body waves (45-150 s) and intermediate-period surface waves (40-100 s or 50-200 s). A preliminary very-broad-band analysis of teleseismic P waveforms gives a depth for this event of 10.4 km.
Here is the solution for the recent event.
