Felt Reports
The quake was widely felt in the region and felt as far away as San Diego, San Bernardino and the Los Angeles basin. It jarred several people from sleep, causing windows to jiggle and glassware to rattle, but was not strong enough to topple items from tables or shelves.

One person in Escondido notice ripples on their water glass on the night stand, rather like the T-rex footsteps in the movie Jurassic Park.

Aftershocks
The quake was followed by more than 30 aftershocks during the following half day, but nearly all measured in the M1 range.
